Be informed on what carpet cleaning methods work the best.
Carpets collect a lot of dirt. We love the warm feeling carpet and upholstery
provide. You can try your most to the appearance of your carpet, but at some
point a carpet cleaner should be called in. There are many methods used for
carpet cleaning and knowing the benefits of each can inform you pick the right
cleaner.
The
shampoo method is probably one of the most ancient methods for cleaning carpets.
What happens here is, a thick foamy spray is scrubbed on to your carpet using
rotary "shampooing" equipment. The problem with this technique is that it just
moves the spot and stains around making the carpet "evenly dirty".
The #1
mill recommended method for rug cleaning is known as hot water extraction or
steam cleaning. A van powered or portable machine is used to apply a high
pressure spray of water and cleaning solution on to the carpet, pushing deep
dirt to the top. The dirt, is immediately extracted by a powerful vacuum.
Truck-mounted machines produce paramount suction. Portable machines are used
mainly in high rises, where a truck mounted machine is unfeasible.
